What we offer

What is neuro physiotherapy?

We work with the goal of restoring movement and function, this can be done through a variety of approaches including hands-on treatment and specific individulised exercises. Following an injury to the nervous system your body may be experiencing symptoms such as muscle weakness, spasm, stiffness, shaking, pain, and sensory changes which can affect your ability to move normally and function. Your goals may be around improving comfort when sitting, your standing, balance, moving in and out of a chair, walking or attending to your personal care. They could also include return to a hobby such as gardening, getting on and off the floor, running or even horse riding. Together we can help you achieve these goals.

Conditions we treat

We treat people who have neurological conditions, such as

  • Stroke

  • MS

  • Parkinson's disease

  • Guillain Barre Syndrome

  • Functional neurological disorders (FND)

  • Brain and spinal cord injuries.

However, not limited to these, we also have experience working with people who have other complex rehabilitation needs, pre/post surgery rehabilitation needs and balance and mobility issues

Personalised treatment

No two neurological conditions, or even strokes, are the same, and neither should be the rehabilitation plans. We work closely with each individual to conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored rehabilitation programs. These plans evolve as progress is made, adapting to the changing needs and goals of our clients.

Harnessing Neuroplasticity

Neuroplasticity, the brain's remarkable ability to adapt and reorganise itself, is a cornerstone of neurological rehabilitation. Our therapists ensure they stay up to date with the latest advancements in neurorehabilitation techniques that leverage neuroplasticity to promote healing and recovery
